First of all Happy New Year.
And just saying that brings me onto my post for the day. It is the time of year where you are either reading about reviews or a looking forwards to the coming year. How great was 2012? What will be better this year?
Well I was thinking about this and went back over my enthusiastic post from a year ago and saw that most of those goals didn’t come to anything. And I was wondering why that was. Why if I was filled with enthusiasm and had plans set before me did I fail?
Now you know if you read this blog that I try to be a glass half full girl but am really a glass half empty girl so in answer to the question of why did I fail I’d say because I’m a lazy so and so and would rather sit watching old NCIS episodes than make soup!
But if I were being glass half full girl I’d say that I successfully shared the process of making 41 scrapbook layouts, read 20 books, learned a lot about photography, took garden photos all year long and grown flowers for our house. And not forgetting the boring stuff like started a new job too.
Based on last year then should I plan challenges again? Maybe, even though I like a challenge, they simply don’t work for me. Yet…..
I LIKE a list. Therefore I am still going to set challenges and goals this year. I haven’t pinned down the exact things I want to do yet apart from one thing that had to start today.
In 2007 I heard about the idea of taking a photo a day for a year. I took this on enthusiastically and apart from a time when my camera was stolen I took a photo a day and I adored this project. Gav adored this project and I have waited long enough to do it again.
So the first thing on my list is a photo a day. Yay. Can’t promise I will get every one up here every day but…. Anyway here is number one.

Hi Cindy. Thank you for a lovely comment. I am looking forward to 2013 too. : )
Wishing you well on your photo a day for 2013 (even if they don’t make it up on the blog each day)! I love your garden photos and flower arrangements – a little jealous twinge of ‘wish I had a cutting flower garden’!!
I’m thankful that I found your blog late in 2012 and looking forward to reading in 2013. All the best, Cindy
